Hi, I’m Zara. I make things.
I’m the founder of twistcone, a teeny tiny creative studio based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where it snows more than half the year and downtown is connected by gerbil tunnels so we don’t all freeze to death.
I designed & built my first website when I was twelve and have been hooked on the internet and all it can do since then. For the last decade I’ve been working on interactive projects for clients like Cheerios, Yoplait, Yahoo!, Jockey, Toyota, Volvo, Burger King, American Express and a bunch of others.
Most recently, I’ve been dabbling in the mobile space with Monster Coloring Book which was named New & Noteworthy and What’s Hot by Apple.
I design, illustrate and can hack together code well enough to make things work (and developers cringe). Although I’m a designer by trade, I’m happiest when I get to do a little bit of everything. Doing the same thing all the time makes you boring.
I want to wake up every day to new challenges and confronted by things I don’t know. If I can do that for the rest of my life, I will be happy.
